PMThink! – Leadership Practices

A great post over on PMThink! titled “Leadership Practices: Sound Advice ” that is worth sharing. The post discusses a recent article in CIO Magazine discussing what IT leaders need to do to practice ‘safe leadership’. The PMThink! post and the original CIO Magazine article are both worth the read. To wet your appetite, a few concepts from the article are:

• Build and lead a strong, credible IT organization
• Foster good relationships
• Forge a shared IT vision, strategy and tactical objectives
• Deliver on time, on budget
• Develop quality solutions
• Realize business value from IT investments

Seems like basic advice, but still worthy of repeating.
