Goblin Valley State Park at Night

I traveled to Hanksville, Utah, in March to photograph the Milky Way. During my time there, the weather didn’t cooperate well, and I only had one night of clear skies to do astrophotography.

Here’s the shot that I got. It isn’t ‘technically great’, but it’s pretty good.

This image was made by taking a 2-minute exposure for the foreground and fifteen (15) 13-second exposures for the sky (and these sky images were blended in a program to remove noise).

Captured with a Sony A7R IV and a Sony 16-35 f2.8 GM II lens.
