Process, Process, Process…

The Daily WTF…that great website that always makes me giggle also makes me cringe.   I giggle at the humorous situations…but cringe at the reality of those situations.

The post titled “Slaves to the Process” made me laugh and cry at the same time…because I get to see this behavior daily with clients.  Rather then getting the job done, they spend days getting approvals so that ‘the process’ is followed.

Processes are good.  Processes are required.  But…don’t let your organization become bound by process or it’ll take you 9 hours to reboot a server as was described in the Slaves to the Process post above.
