I just want to climb on board here with your emphasis on the importance of integrity. You’re right that many people just glide past it thinking simply – “honesty, great, got that” – but, as you say, it is a lot more – and a lot harder – than merely that. It can be described as being sure that you are in fact what you represent yourself to be – whether that is a technical expert, a worker, or a manager. And, as you also point out, if you can’t do that, then attempting the rest is a pointless – even a duplicitous – exercise.
