Progressively challenging roles over the last 13 years have provided me with the opportunity to develop exceptional skills in leadership, project management, information technology, and strategic planning.

I am a hands-on leader with experience leading large cross-functional teams deploying software, hardware and providing consulting services. I’ve managed international teams developing software, providing technical support, training, software implementation, project management and consulting services to clients across North and South America.

Some of the key successes and qualifications that I bring to the table are:

  • Led the implementation of an enterprise wide content management system for a client.  Project involved managing outside and internal resources.   Managed vendor relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Led Information Technology Strategic planning and outsourcing for large and small organizations.
  • Led a team of developers on a Web Development effort to produce a commercial software product for use as a search, retrieval and storage application for use by attorneys.
  • Led a team of 30 technical professionals across North and South America. Team was responsible for implementing and supporting enterprise software used in companies of all sizes. Managed projects, technology implementations, support and training.
  • Founded and managed a successful information technology consulting company (Brown Consulting Group). Personally managed all project and service delivery for the company.
  • More than 12 years of Leadership and Project Management experience working with software development, implementation and providing consulting services.
  • Designed and implemented a Project Management Office (PMO) for very large organizations.
  • I have a self-directed, dynamic work ethic and motivational management style and I thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

As my resume indicates, I have an MBA from the University of Texas, Dallas and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. I also hold the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and the Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

For the majority of my career I've found myself working within information technology and telecom fields with a focus on managing software development, implementation, training, technical support and development of documentation.       I'm an amateur photographer. I've got some pictures posted for your viewing pleasure. I shoot a Canon 40D with the 28-135mm Kit lens. Am patiently waiting my Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM lens...when I get it, you'll know :) Enjoy...and be kind to my almost good pictures :)

      Unlike me, my wife Tracie is a great photographer. You can see her work at a moment to keep photography. Give her a call if you need/want some photography work done...she's open to traveling to you too (expenses paid of course). :)

      Tracie shoots a Canon 5D with a few different lenses for various occassions (Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM, Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM, Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM and Canon EF 50mm f1.4 USM).
